Q: What is Tamarac Garden?

A: Tamarac Garden is a family business commited to providing all natural, healing products as an alternative to medications laden with chemicals and side effects. We are also commited to teaching and empowering our local community to care for their families from their own backyard as well.

Q: How can I sign up for one of your classes?

A: You can see all of our available classes under the “Classes”. Select “Sign up for a class” for all the details and registration.

Q: Do you offer online classes?

A: Not currently, but we are working toward offering classes online. Stay tuned for more!

Q: I’m not sure which product is right for me. Can you help me decide which product would be best for my needs?.

A: Absolutely. Message us on our Contact page or email Michelle at michelle@tamaracgarden.com and she will be glad to help you get just what you need.

Q: Do you make special orders?

A: We sure do. Since all of our products are handmade we are more than happy to personalize products and create something for your specific need or condition. Message us on the Contact page or email michelle@tamaracgarden.com and she will work with you to ensure you get the remedy you need.

Q: Are your products tested?

A: Yes. We test all of our products on ourselves, our family and a select group of volunteers. Nothing makes it to the website without being proven to be effective by us.

Q: Are all of your products actually edible?

A: Yes they are. We believe if you can’t eat it you shouldn’t put it on your skin. Although we really don’t recommend eating the creams, salves, or serums. They’ll just be gross.

Q: Will your products be the exact same every time I order?

A: Yes & No. Our products are created by nature, not in a chemist lab. No two plants are the exactly the same so there my be some visual differences in the the products. Tallow based creams may vary at times as well since we render the tallow ourselves from local cows and grazing animals, i.e. deer, elk etc. The texture may vary slightly from batch to batch but the quality & healing ingredients will always remain the same.

Q: Is your tallow from 100% grass fed cows?

A: Yes! Our tallow is rendered in house from North Idaho raised, grass fed Aberdeen cattle.

Q: Do you make your own products?

A: Yes. Every one of our products is handmade in house at the Tamarac Garden property. We do not outsource any of our products.

Q: Do the products expire?

A: Our products are all natural without any chemical preservatives, you can expect the products to expire eventually but the majority will last 1 year+. Some products may separate or change texture over time but their healing value is still the same. If a product develops a strange smell discontinue use. Any of our products that are witch hazel, glycerine, or alcohol based will last 2+ years.

Q: Are your products organic?

A: At this time we cannot guarantee that our products are 100% organic, but we can guarantee that they are all natural and without chemical preservatives.

Q: Do you use parabens, fragrance, soy, petroleum, phthalates, or dyes in your products?

A: Absolutely not. All scents in our products are from essential oils. Colors & tints are naturally sourced from plants. Essential oils, tallow, oils, alcohol, vinegar, and glycerine act as a natural preservatives in many of our products.

Q: What is a tincture?

A: A tincture is a liquid extraction of herbs to pull out as much of their medicinal value as possible. Using an 80 proof+ alcohol is the most effective way to extract the medicinal beneifts. Tinctures are highly concentrated so you do not need to take much to get big benefits. Tinctures are taken by the dropper full typically 1-3 droppers. They are safe for children & adults alike since such a small amount is consumed.

Q: When can I expect my order to ship?

A: We aim to ship out all orders within 2 business days.

Q: What if I want to return a product?

A: Please email michelle@tamaracgarden.com with any product concerns and she will make sure that you are taken care of.

Q: Can I pick up my order instead of paying for shipping?

A: Yes. Select “local pick up” at checkout. We offer local pick up at the Super One in Athol, ID

Q: Can I use more than one coupon code at checkout?

A: Yes. You can use as many as are applicable to your order.
