In our Backyard Pharmacy class we’re getting our hands dirty. You’ll learn not only about the medicinal plants growing in your own backyard but also how to make medicine for your family with them.
The goal of this class is to empower you to care for your own family right from your own yard & kitchen. We live on a pharmacy, in our yard & in our kitchen.
We’ll tour the Tamarac Garden property, identify the plants, and talk through their history and medicinal benefits.
Along with identifying plants we’ll also walk your through how to actually make remedies from the plants growing in your yard. Along the way we’ll also cover some ways you can use common kitchen ingredients for medicine.
You’ll learn how to make remedies for common illnesses & emergency situations that work far better than anything you’ll find at a drug store.
Each guest will go home with an herbal remedy of their own as well that we will make together.
The Details:
This walk is very easy, appropriate for all fitness levels, but this class is intended for adults & older teens. Please leave your little ones at home. Nursing babies are welcome though.
We’ll have all of our Tamarac Garden products available for purchase after the class as well. And as a thank you from us to you, all products are 20% on the day of the class.
What to bring:
-Comfortable clothing
-Water bottle (it could get hot)
-Paper & pen, you’ll definitely want to take notes
-Phone or camera, you’ll want to photograph the plants so you can identify them again.
